You can register all of your financial accounts on Mobills. In this article, we will show you how to create, edit, and delete an account.
Creating an account:
To create an account, it is necessary to insert some information:
Title: This is the account name. You can use a bank name or an account type. Some examples of both are Bank of America, JP Morgan, Savings Account Checking Account, etc.
Opening Balance: This is the individual account's balance when you initially create it. For example, if you have $1,500.00 in a Savings Account prior to using Mobills, you should set your opening balance as $1,500.00.
Account Type: Helps to identify an account type. Whether it's an investment, cash, savings account etc.
Color: Setting different colors for your accounts helps you to identify the associated entries to each of your accounts.
Include in main screen sum: When you select this option, the relevant account’s balance will be counted towards your overall ‘Accumulated Balance’ as seen on the dashboard. (Note: Associated entries of this account will always be accounted as incomes and expenses.
- On the left menu at the dashboard, go to Accounts > My Accounts:
This is an account screen. Here you can manage all registered accounts. To create a new account, click on the ‘+’ icon:
Insert all required information and click ‘Save’ Done! Your account has been created!
Tap on the '+' icon at the dashboard, then tap on the ‘Account’ icon:
Insert all required information to create an account, then tap in the '✓' button to create a new account.
Done! A new account has been created. (Note: Check the 'Notification for quick insertion' option enabled to add expenses through your device notification bar)
Tap on 'Account Balance' at the dashboard:
Then tap on the '+' icon on the right corner at the top bar screen:
Complete all required information to create an account, then tap on ‘Save’. Done! Your new account has been created!
Editing an account:
To edit an account on Mobills is very simple. And you can do it whenever you want to.
On the 'My accounts' menu, click on the pencil icon at the account information. Now you can modify the necessary information.
On the 'Accounts Balance' option tap on the account, you want to edit. A screen with some account specifications will appear, tap on the pencil at the bottom right corner as shown in the screenshot below.
After this, a screen similar to creating an account will appear. Edit the information and save all changes by tapping the pencil icon on the top right of your screen.
At 'Accounts Balance' option, tap on the account you want to edit. At this point, a similar creating Account screen will appear, edit the information you wish to change and tap on "save" to confirm these changes.
Deleting an account:
Attention: If you delete an account, all entries (incomes, expenses, and transfers) attached into this account will also be deleted! So be sure that you want to do this before deleting an account because this action can't be undone!
On The Web:
On 'My Accounts' menu, click on the trash icon to delete an account.
After you click on the trash icon, a confirmation screen will appear. Carefully read the displayed message and type your Mobills password to confirm the action. Done, your account has been deleted!
On the 'Accounts balance' option, tap on the account you want to delete. Then tap on the pencil icon to conclude tap on `Delete` at the bottom of the screen.
After tapping on 'Delete' you will see a confirmation screen. Carefully read the displayed message and type your Mobills password to confirm the action.
In the "Accounts Balance" screen, drag the account that you want to delete to the left. At this point, a delete account icon will be displayed.
After tapping on "Delete", a confirmation screen will appear. Carefully read the displayed message and type your Mobills password to confirm the action.
Done, your account has been deleted!
